One North Carolina Small Business Programs

The North Carolina SBIR/STTR Phase I Incentive Program reimburses qualified North Carolina firms for a portion of the costs incurred in preparing and submitting Phase I proposals for the U.S. Government’s SBIR/STTR Program. 

The North Carolina SBIR/STTR Phase I Matching Funds Program is designed to award matching funds to North Carolina firms who have been awarded a SBIR/STTR Phase I award.

Match Program Information, 2007-2008 Solicitation

The FY2007-2008 Program Solicitation is now available for download. Submission Dates for the Program are: July 2, 2007, through June 30, 2008. Under the One North Carolina Small Business Matching Funds Program, the State of North Carolina issues a grant of 100% of the amount a NC-based small business receives in a federal SBIR/STTR Phase I award up to a maximum of $100,000, based upon eligibility and the availability of program funds.

The 2006-2007 Match Program Solicitation closed on June 29, 2007. Applications against this Solicitation are no longer being accepted.

The 2005-2006 Match Program Solicitation closed on June 30, 2006. Applications against this Solicitation are no longer being accepted.

 

Incentive Program Information

New for 0708! The FY2007-2008 Incentive Program Solicitation is now available for download. Submission Dates for the Program are: July 2, 2007, through June 30, 2008. Under the One North Carolina Small Business Incentive Funds Program, new this year, the State will issue qualified applicants a grant in the amount equal to 50% of their approved Phase I Proposal preparation costs, up to $3,000, based upon eligibility and the availability of program funds.
